Abstract
Assimilation theorists have traditionally seen inter-group romantic partnerships as indicators of racial equality. These unions remain relatively infrequent although the past half-century has witnessed the erosion of anti-miscegenation laws and subsequent increases in the frequency of interracial marriages. Minimal intermarriage prices could be partially explained by the casual sanctions leveled at young romances that are interracial. This research tests whether adolescents who interracially date have reached greater risks of peer difficulties than intra-racially dating youth. Results display a relationship that is positive adolescent interracial dating and peer difficulty in school. As hypothesized
